How do I calculate the area of half a cylinder? attached is a photo showing the question please answer and show work!! thanks Math questionelp!

The surface area of a cylinder is given by 2*pi*r*h

Using 3.14 for "pi,'  we have 2*(3.14)*(3m)*(30m) = 565.2 m2

But we only want 1/2 of this........282.6m2

Looks like "a" is your answer.
