surface area help

This is the SUM of all of the figure's parts

    there are two triangles 6 x 8    area of triangle = 1/2 x 6 x 8    x 2      (the 2 is becuse there are 2 triangles)

    there are two long rectangles  ONE is area = 10 x 4   and ONE is 8 x 4

      and finally the end rectangle is area  6 x 4

Add all of the red areas to get the total surface area.......
