Two cubes of volumes 8cm^3 and 27cm^3 are glued together at their faces to form a solid with the smallest possible surface area. What is the number of square centimeters in the surface area of the resulting solid? please help thank you

They can overlap by 4 cm^2, so the minimum surface area is 6*2^2 + 6*3^2 - 4 = 74 cm^2.
