Hi, can you please help me solve the simultanious equation with the steps of how to do it.
a^2 + b^2 = 25
3a + b = 5
+36915 The second equation shows b = 5-3a put this into the first equation for b
a^2 + (5-3a)^2 = 25 expand
a^2 + 9a^2 -30a + 25 = 25
10a^2 -30a =0
a(10a-30) = 0
a = 0 and 3 then b = 5 and -4 corrrespondingly
