The table shows the values of a function f(x).

What is the average rate of change of f(x) from  −2 to 2?

 

X Values:  -2, -1,  0,   1,  2, 3,

Y Values: 25  24  21  16  9   0

\(\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}=\frac{(9)-(25)}{(2)-(-2)}=\frac{-16}{4}=-4\)
