That’s one way to get a new user name, Miranda.

https://web2.0calc.com/questions/change-username#r2

Admin’s valediction, “have a nice day,” is a hilarious contrast to his announcement.  LMAO!

I am familiar with most of your posts, and none of them are really BS (especially compared to so many others on here). So, you must have greatly píssed off Admin some other way. It’s a shame he blanked your posts, there are some great answers by Heureka, CPhill, Alan, and hectictar for your geometry questions. One post has answers by the first three (two unique answers by Heureka):  https://web2.0calc.com/questions/pls-help-geometry

In right triangle ABC, M and N are midpoints of legs AB and BC, respectively.

Leg AB is 6 units long, and leg BC is 8 units long.

How many square units are in the area of triangle APC?

You can still read the answers, but you have to find them in the answer profiles of each answerer. The answers for the question above all have the same date, July 14, 2017 GMT. It’s like reading three different textbook presentations on the on the same question.  Heureka’s first answer post includes the asked question.

Don’t fret too much about your banishment, Miranda.

Because of an amazing, and now celebrated, opportunity to use my mouth, the hierarchy of my parochial school expelled me the summer before the start of my senior year.   I called it “excommunication,” and though I was sad about not finishing my final year and graduating with my friends and classmates, it was probably the best thing that school ever did for me.

Anyway, you can make a new account. Just exercise a little more control in what you write (to Admin), unless you want to píss him off, again. I actually kind of like him, and I want him to . . . have a nice day.  LooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooL! laugh

Hey! I answered one too...but nobody ever saw it :((

It was the third to last one on this page.

I'm not saying that was the best way to answer it, but hey, I tried!!

( BTW, I'm posting as a guest to remain anonymous. smiley )

I remember you answering a question with a fraction. smileylaugh

(I remember your post, but I forgot whose question it was.)

Anonymous posting is a good idea. I’ve not heard of an anon being banned; although I can think of at least two that probably should be.indecision

Hi Ginger,

Admin did not blank Miranda's (MIRB15) posts.

Every time Miranda got her answer, she deleted HER OWN question.

That is what so annoyed admin.

Miranda, why do you think it is ok to ask questions, get answers that have been prepared with painstaking care, and then delete your question ??

It would be more normal and acceptable for a sane person to thank the answerers and give them points.

The question is then left for others also to learn from.

Miranda, Do you have a problem with sanity AND good manners?

Maybe now you have turned 16, and rebirthed as MIRB16, you will be more sane, mature and polite.

Hi Melody,

Ok . . .  I did not know that. I was really scratching my chimp head on this.

I did note that she was totally lacking in gratitude with words or points, but such behaviors are not rare on here.

By dumb luck, I managed to snag copies of a few of the better question posts shortly after the answers posted, but before she deleted the questions.  I noticed two deleted posts; I assumed they were malfunctions. I should have been aware though, because she did the same thing with her Sapchats, leaving 40+ followers without a history, except for a statement about being too lazy to post. It’s not true; no one has that many followers with no posts.

Her aberrant behavior seems to be integral to her current personality. If she does return, it’s likely her behavior will too.  One of my psychology professors is always interested in anecdotal observations of anomalous behavior.  I may relay this to him in the fall.

Two years ago, Nauseated noticed a forum member who started deleting his older posts—his answers to questions. He deleted six pages worth, and then quit doing it after posting the reason why.  You may remember this: http://web2.0calc.com/questions/good-luck-with-this-one#r11

Naus said, “It’s only a few picoteslas. It’s not a great loss. I’m not sure if he was serious or being his trolling self—probably both. He did add if Heureka, Alan, CPhill, Rom, Bretie, or Melody did it, then it would be like having a major fire in the mathematics section of a unique library.

In the case of Miranda, I think she should have pressed ‘Ctrl-Alt’ before pressing delete. Her questions are not unique, but the solution presentations are, and those questions were the signposts for the pathways.

Maybe we can restore a few of these. I can post the questions as a guest and the original answerers can copy their answers to the new post.

GA

P.S. Have a nice daylaugh

Hi again Ginger,

If you have the questions maybe I can override the delete. I might have priviledge enough to do this, I am not too sure.

Miranda has already rebitrhed as  MIRB16   (She is a year older now, I wonder if she's any more mature?  lol)

Thanks for taking me back to that puzzle post. I wish I had more forum time but at present my life is full with other matters.

I look forward to having time again to puzzle over the many worthwhile threads and puzzles here.  :)

I'd also like more time to interact with my friends here  :)

See you later Ginger :)

Did any of you talk to miranda about this before banning her?

Of course, we talked to her. We take our jobs very seriously.

Here’s a transcript of our conversation.

After lining up and indexing the inline citations and footnotes of the conversation and cross-referencing those to advanced texts on diagnostic clinical psychology, basic analyses indicated she’s in an existential crisis.

A review by a dozen psychiatrists and behavioral therapists returned a consensus that she’s using deconstructivism motivated by nihilism to define her existential crisis. The suggested treatment plans included electroshock therapy, powerful antipsychotic drugs, and euthanasia.  One outlier suggested banishment. (Humph –there is one in every crowd.)

Admin, who is the final authority, took the advice of the outlier.  Go figure.

Thank you for your concern.  Have a nice day.

Perhaps next time someone should clarify the rules for the new users, or atleast inform them after passing them. I dont think users should be able to delete their questions like that. However, i think it is understandable if a new user, for whatever reason, passes this rule. I hope miranda will not pass this rule again.
