The lateral area of a regular square prism is 110 sq.m. and the altitude of the prism is 3 dm. How long is an edge of the base?
Thank you! :)
A dm = .1m ... so 3dm = .3m
The lateral area (area of the sides) is given by 4*s*.3 where s is = the side of the base
So
4*s*.3m = 110m^2
1.2s = 110 divide by 1.2
s = 275/3 = about 91.667m
