The parabolas defined by the equations y = 2x^2 - 4x + 4 and y = 3x^2 - 9x + 10 intersect at points (a,b) and (c,d), where c >= a. What is c - a ?

 Where they intersect, they are equal....

2x^2-4x+4 = 3x^2-9x+10   and simplify

x^2 -5x+6 = 0     Quadratic formula shows   x = 3 and 2      a = 2   c = 3       You can finish......cheeky
