The radius of the wheel of a folding bicycle is 20cm. The wheel go round 582 times. How many metres did she cover?

On another bicycle the wheels have a diameter of 65cm. How many times will the wheel go round if she cycles 2km?

Circumference = Diameter(radius x 2) x pi

C = 20 x 2 x 3.141592

C =125.66 cm

C =125.66 / 100

C =1.2566 meters

1.2566 x 582 =731.34 meters travelled.

C =65 x 3.141592 =204.20 cm - circumference of the wheel.

204.20 / 100 =2.042 m - circumference of the wheel.

2 km x 1,000 = 2,000 m

2,000 / 2.042 =979.43 ~ 979 turns of the bicycle wheel.
