So, we have the equation \(\left | 4x+4 \right | > 8\)

We want to split it up into two equations:

\(4x+4>8\) and \(-8>4x+4\)

Then, we solve each equation:

\(x>\frac{8-4}{4} \rightarrow x>1\)and \(\frac{-8-4}{4}>x \rightarrow -3>x\)

So, we have x>1 and x<-3 as our answers.
