The table of values represents a polynomial function f(x).

How much greater is the average rate of change over the interval [7, 9] than the interval [4, 6] ?

1500

1/1500

5382

1/5382

Consider the two functions:

g(x)=20(1.5)x

and

f(x) in the table:

g(0) < f(0)

g(0) > f(0)

g(0) = f(0)

g(0) and  f(0) cannot be compared.

I worked the first one earlier.....I thought they wanted the ratio in terms of "how many tmes greater"

But the numerical difference was 1500

For the second

g(0)   =  20    and f(0)  = -40

So

g(0)  >  f(0)
