The total area of a cube is 96 sq.cm. Find its volume.

The surface area is given by S_a = 6s^2

So.....6s^2  = 96     divide by 6 on both sides

s^2  = 16    take the square root of both sides

s = 4

And the volume of a cube is just s^3  =  4^3  = 64cm^3
