the volume of a rectangular prism is 1,512 feet cubed. if the dimensions are cut in half, what will be the volume of the new prism

If the dimensions are cut in half, the volume will be (1 /8)th of the original....

 

To see this .....note.... (1/2)W  x (1/2)L x (1/2)H  =  (1/8)V   where L, W and H are the original dimensions

 

So (1/8) 512 =  64 cu ft
