The volume of a right circular cone is 1,884 in3. If the height of the cone is 18 in, what is the diameter of the cone? (Use pi  = 3.14)

V=Pi x r^2 x h/3

1,884 = Pi x r^2 x 18/3

1,884 = Pi x r^2 x 6

314 = Pi x r^2

r^2 =314 / Pi

r^2 =100(rounded)

r =sqrt(100) =10 - inches - the radius of the cone

10 x 2 = 20 inches - the diameter of the cone.
