there is 12 sausages and 8 breads suppose you want the same amount of each how many packages of each would you buy

Uhhhhhh.......   your question is missing some information needed in order to give you a solution....

 

 

If you MEANT to say there are 12 sausages in each pacage and there are 8 breads (buns) in each package THEN to get the same amount of sausages and buns you would need to find the lowes common factor of these numbers.

 

 

If you cannot do it in your head , you can find their multiples:

 

Multiples of 12 = 12 24 36 48 60       and multiples of  8 = 8 16 24 32 40

 

So can you see the lowest COMMON multiple ....the multiple that is in both ?    ( it's 24)

 

The lowes common multiple is 24........how many packages of sausage is that?      How many packages of bread is that?
