The 228  is divided into 19 parts, each consisting of 5  professors and 14 lecturers....so....

Professors =  (5/19) * 228  = 60

And the Lecturers  must =   228 - 60   =  168

168 lecturers and 60 professors

WAIT but where did u get the 19 from

Add up the ratio of professors and lecturers together: 5 + 14 =19

5/19 x 228 =60 professors

14/19 x 228 =168 lecturers.

Sorry.......I meant to say that there were 12 parts  of 228 consisting of 19 people each

An easier way of looking at it is that for each of these 12 parts there were 5 professors.....

.....so....12 * 5   = 60

And for each of the 12 parts there are 14 lecturers  ....so....12 * 14 = 168

I HAD THIS TOO! On a study guide... I literally put the whole question into the search engine looking for it becuase I didn't understand! Not to mention my mom would go into a lecture. about ONE FLIPPING QUESTION! Soooooo THANKS RANDOM PERSON!
