A square has a diagonal of length 10 times the square root of 2 centimeters. What is the number of square centimeters in the area of the square?

The side of the square  =    diagonal length / √2

So....the side length  =  [10√2] / √2   =  10cm

So....the area = side^2   =   10^2   =  100 cm^2
