Parallel lines  have the same slope

So...we have

y  = m  (x - x1)  + y1      where m = the slope  = -3/4   and  (x1, y1)  = ( 4,2)

y  = (-3/4) ( x - 4)  + 2

y  = (-3/4)x + 3 + 2

y = (-3/4)x + 5      [in slope-intercept  form ]
