Hello guys, can you please help me with this questions. The question is what is the difference when you have an equation f(x)= -2x+5 and f(2x).

Sources told me that f(2x) means that we multiply the function by a horizontal stretche of 1/2 yet for f(x)= -2x+5 the functions is multiplied by 2. Can someone explain this in clear detail. Thanks really appreciate it.
