Translate: Seven increased by a number added to twice the difference between the number and two.

a. 7X*2X-2

b. (7+X) + 2(X-2)

c. 7X + 2X -2

d. 7+X -2(X-2)

Let the number  = x

So 7 increased by a number = 7 + x

And the difference berween the number and 2 = (x - 2)   ...so twice this difference  = 2(x - 2)

And these two things added together =

(7 + x) + 2(x - 2)

So 'b" is the correct answer
