Note that  we added   -5  to the x coordinate  of  P  to get the x coordinate of P'

And we added 10  to the y coordinate of P  to get the y coordinate of P'

So  translating (7,2)   using the same rules  becomes  :

( 7 + -5 , 2 + 10)  =  ( 2, 12)

add   -5  to the x coordinate  of  P  to get the x coordinate of P'

And then add 10  to the y coordinate of P  to get the y coordinate of P'

So  translating (7,2)   using the same rules  becomes  :
