Triangle ABC is given and angle B = 38 degrees Angle C is the right angle CA is X and CB is 4.5 I have no clue how to find x ?
You need either the AB or AC's length's. Then you can use the formula A2+B2=H2 (if you get the AC length) or H2-A2=B2 (if you get the AC length).
We can use trig to solve this....we have
tan(38) = x / 4.5 multiply both sides by 4.5
(4.5)tan(38) = x = about 3.5
Triangle ABC is given and angle B = 38 degrees Angle C is the right angle CA is X and CB is 4.5 I have no clue how to find x ?
B = 38o, CB = 4.5, CA = X
tan(B) = X/CB
tan38o = X/4.5
X = tan38o * 4.5
X = 3.52
