In triangle ABC , AB = 7 , BC = 8, and the length of median AM is \(3\). Find AC.
If i'm not wrong, you might be able to use the pythagorum therum. a^2+b^2=c^2 (7^2+8^2=AC^2) correct me if im wrong though!
B
4
7 M
3 4
A C
Triangle ABM would have sides of AB = 7 AM = 3 and BM = 4
But, by the triangle inequality, this is impossible......so what you have described is impossible
