JKL  similar to TSR

So

JK / KL  =  TS  /SR

65/ 50  =  (4x - 13)  /30    cross-multiply

50 ( 4x -13)  = 30  * 65

200x  -  650  =  1950

200x =  1950  + 650

200x  =  2600

x  = 2600   / 200  =   26/ 2  =  13

Second one

LJK  similar  to  GJF

So

LJ / JK   =  GJ / JF

(5x + 13) / 44  = 12/ 11   cross-multiply

11 ( 5x + 13)  =  44 * 12

55x  +  143  =   528

55x =  528  - 143

55x  = 385

x = 385 / 55   =  7 

Third  one

FGH  similar to FBA

So

FG / FH   =  FB  / FA

54/ (14 x + 6)  = 6/10

54 / ( 14x + 6) =  3/5      cross-multiply

5 * 54  =  3 * (14x + 6)

270  =  42x  +  18

270  - 18  = 42x

252  = 42x

252 / 42  = x  = 6

QRS similar to DCB

QR/ RS  =  DC  / CB

28 / 63  =  24/ (5x -11)

4/ 9  = 24  /( 5x -11)      cross-multiply

4 ( 5x  -11)  =  9 * 24

20x  - 44  =  216

20x=  216  + 44

20x  =  260

x =  260  / 20    =13

Last one

man's height / man's shadow length = tree's  height /  its  shadow length

6 /  20  =   H   /  50

50 * 6  =  20  * H

300  / 20  =  H  = 15 ft
