The length of one side of a triangle is 3 feet less than twice the length of its second side. The third side is 2/3 of the sum of the lengths of the first 3 sides. Find the length of all three sides if the perimeter is 6.5

the sum of the lengths of the first 2 sides        I assume this is what you meant

l    +       l-3     +   2/3 (l  + l-3)  = 6.5

2l    +  4/3 l     - 3   - 6/3 = 6.5

10/3 l - 5 = 6.5

10/3  l   = 11.5

l = 11.5  *  3/10

l = 3.45  ft

l-3 = .45  ft

final leg = 2.6  ft
