1. Find the area of triangle ABC if AB = 6, BC = 8, and angle ABC = 90 degrees.
2. If angle ABC = 135 degrees, and angle ACB = 30 degrees, what is angle BAC?
1. The formula for area of a triangle is \(A=\frac{1}{2}bh\). Plugging in the side lengths it's \(\frac{1}{2}(6)(8)=24\) square units.
2. The sum of the angles in a triangle is 180 degrees. The sum of the other two angles given is \(135+30=165\). So to find the unknown angle you subtract 180-165, which is 15. Therefore angle \(BAC=15º\).
