This a right tringle with two 45 degree angles    side a   and 7 are the same   a= 7

Pythagorean theorem   s1^2  + s2^2 = hypotenuse^2    ( b is the hypotenuse)

                                       7^2 + 7^2 = b^2

                                       49 + 49 = b^2

                                           98 = b^2        rewrite   b^2 = 98    b =sqrt 98 = sqrt( 49 *2) = 7 sqrt 2
