use the fundamental trig identities to simplify csc^2 x (1-cos^2x). i don't understand how to solve this. This is for an assignment that i am currently working on.

thanks so much!

Use csc(x) = 1/sin(x) and cos2(x) + sin2(x) = 1 so that 1 - cos2(x) = sin2(x)

csc2 x (1-cos2x)  →  (1/sin2(x))*sin2(x)  → 1

.
