sin (tan^-1(-3))

\(let\;\;\theta = atan(-3)\)

since tan of theta=-3 the answer must be in the 2nd or 4th quad.

so sin(theta) can be poitive or negative.

The picture insert is not working and I have not worked out Alan's method angry  yet so you will find the pic here.

\(sin (tan^{-1}(-3))=\frac{\pm3\sqrt{10}}{10}\)

tan-1 (-3)   =  -71.565051177078°

So

sin (-71.565051177078°)  =  -0.948683298051
