How can i solve this cos(x)=1/2

use a scientific calculator, then do arccos of 1/2 (arccos is cos^-1 .  Can be found on many calculators by pressing shift cos)

Take the cosine inverse [ arccos]  of 1/2

 

arccos (1/2)   =  pi/3 ....  or 60°
