I am trying to work out an angle for a right angled triangle. This is what I have so far:

Tan? = o / a

         = 5 / 9

         = 0.555

         = 0.56 (rounded)

What would I do next to get the size of the angle?

Take the tangent inverse.......this is denonted as "arctan" or as tan-1  on your calculator

So we have

tan-1 (0.56) =  θ ≈   29.25°
