cot = cos / sin =  [ sqrt(15 ) / 4 ] / [1 / 4]  = [  sqrt(15)/ 4 ] * [ 4 / 1 ]  =   sqrt(15)

This is the exact value.

if sin theta = 1/4 and cos theta = sqrt(15)/4 then what is the exat value of cot theta

Tan=Sin(theta)/Cos(theta)

Tan=1/4 / .968=.2583

Cot(theta)=1/tan=1/.2583=3.8715
