sin of .5 is sin 1/2. sin is equal to the opposite over the hypotenuse. That means the opposite is 1 and the hypotenuse is 2. In a 30:60:90 triangle the sides are 1:rt3:2.

that means the angle is 60 degrees

it's 30 not 60.
