I need help step by step by solving this equation: sin x = -0,35
in the format 30 + n*360 you know, but don't just write the answer, because I don't know how to get the r in r+n*360
Is it arcsin? or do I have to use the standard 30 degrees in the sinx = 30+n*360 ?
(If you don't understand my explanation, just try to answer the first question and explain in step by step what you are doing)
thanks :p
Use arcsin(-0.35)
On the calculator on the home page here, first press the 2nd key, then the asin key ( asin is arcsin).
Remember that angles that produce negative values for sine occur in the third and fourth quadrants (I.e. Between 180 and 360 degrees).
But the answer in my book says x1= 200.5+n*360, x2=339,5 + n*360, and arcsin(-0,35) is ~-20,5, and not 200,5
