What is Use Of +-
That's called "plus or minus" and used to indicate that a value can be either positive or negative.
The most common usage is for square roots. Example: sqrt(4) = +2 (+2)2 = +4 and (–2)2 = +4.
I make the symbol by typing a + and then underlining it. Some people do it the way that you did.
There's an Alt- code that will insert it, but I don't like the way it looks. Alt-0177 is ± Alt-241 is ±
.
