ron bought 8/3 cups of sugar. he used 1/4 of it to bake a cake. he then ate 3/10 of the cake. how much sugar did he eat?
There is no solution. If you think that there is one, you are implying that the sugar was COMPLETELY evenly divided throughout the cake.
[8/3] [1/4] = 8 / 12 = 2 / 3 cups of sugar in the cake
[2/3] [3/10] = [ 2 / 10] [ 3 / 3] = 2 /10 * 1 = 2/10 = 1 / 5 cups eaten
