Good work :))

Lets see how we can get this answer formally.

Two cars traveled equal distances in different amounts of time. Car A traveled the distance in 2 h, and Car B traveled the distance in 1.5 h. Car B traveled 15 mph faster than Car A. How fast did Car B travel?

Let the distance travelled be x

Car A travels  x/2    mph

Car B travels  x/1.5 = 3x/2  mph

now

x/2     +   15    =     3x/2

\(\;\;\;\;\frac{x}{2}+15=\frac{x}{1.5}\\ 6(\frac{x}{2}+15)=6(\frac{x}{1.5})\\ 3x+90=4x\\ 90=x\\ x=90 \;miles\)

Distance travelled=90 miles

90/2=45mph the speed of car A

90/1.5=60mph the speed of car B
