Two rubber bands pulling on an object cause it to accelerate at 2.4 m/s2 .
Part A
What will be the object's acceleration if it is pulled by four rubber bands?
Express your answer using two significant figures.
a = _____________ m/s2
Part B
What will be the acceleration of two of these objects glued together if they are pulled by two rubber bands?
Express your answer using two significant figures.
a = ______________ m/s2
Still my unreliable knowledge, sorry for that again.
Part A:
Force = mass x acceleration,
Force is doubled, mass constant, acceleration doubles.
a = 2,4 x 2 = 4,8 m/s2
Part B:
Still the same formula.
Force is constant, mass doubled, acceleration halves.
a = 2.4/2 = 1.2 m/s2
often_wrong you are probably correct this time :), we got the same answer, we will be not so likely that we are wrong together :)
