6e4x - 2 = 3    add 2 to both sides

6e4x  = 5        divide both sides by 6

e4x  =  5/6      take the ln  of both sides

ln e4x  = ln ( 5/6 )

(4x) ln e = ln (5/6)    and lne = 1 ....  so we have ......

4x  = ln (5/6)     divide both sides by 4

x  =   [ ln (5/6) ] / 4  = -0.0455803891984886 = -0.046

So "D" is correct
