Findd the exact value of x :
COS-1(x/5)-sin-1(12/13)=tan-1(- 33/56)

Thanks smiley

Solve for x:
cos^(-1)(x/5)-sin^(-1)(12/13) = -tan^(-1)(33/56)

Add sin^(-1)(12/13) to both sides:
cos^(-1)(x/5) = sin^(-1)(12/13)-tan^(-1)(33/56)

Take the cosine of both sides:
x/5 = cos(sin^(-1)(12/13)-tan^(-1)(33/56))

Multiply both sides by 5:
Answer: |  x = 5 cos(sin^(-1)(12/13) - tan^(-1)(33/56))=4
