We will only be considering those  who  did some homework = 500 - 40  = 460

460  =  259+ 219 + 238 - 85 - 81 - 108 + n (M  ∩ E  ∩ S)

 

460  =   442 +  n (M  ∩ E  ∩ S)

 

460 - 442  =   n (M  ∩ E  ∩ S)
