The  vertical asymptotes  will  occur at the  x values   produced by setting the denominator = 0   :

x^2  + 6x   - 7     =  0    factor

( x - 7) ( x + 1) = 0     set each factor to 0  and solve for x

x  -7   =  0                x  +  1   =   0

x  = 7                      x  = -1

These are the equations of  the vertical asymptotes
