One 50-gallon aquarium is 36 inches long and 16 inches wide, and is filled to a depth of 20 inches.To the nearest whole number of cubic inches, how much water do you need to fill the aquarium to that depth?     

 

                                     36 in x 16 in x 20 in  =  11,520 in³     

 

                                     There's 231 cubic inches in a gallon     

 

                                      So, dividing 11,520 in³ / 231 in³ / gal  =  49.87 gallons
