Web2.0 calc is a dying website, the total vistors per day has halved in the past month. Why is this the case?

This site has always been cyclic.

 

At a particular time we have a group of young people (with a couple of key people) join up and the place becomes a social hub.  I suspect that many of the visitors that you speak of are social visitors. 

Then for various reasons one or two key people leave, (this time 2 of those key people were Hayley and Coldplay) this is the beginning of a major exodus. 

The place then become very quiet for a few months until the next group of young people arrive and the place blossums again for a period of time.  

I think this is a cycle that will continue indefinitely.  I also suspect that it is a standard phenomenon of many internet sites.  :(
