So, we have: $$\frac{4*3*3}{0.5*0.5*0.5}$$, converting all of the 05's to a fraction, we have/get: $$\frac{4*3*3}{\frac{1}{2}*\frac{1}{2}*\frac{1}{2}}=\frac{36}{\frac{1}{8}}=36*8=\boxed{288}$$ cubes.
