Since we need to find how many 0.5cm*0.5cm*0.5cm cubes are needed to fit a rectangular prism measuring 4cm*3cm*3cm, we can divide both, to find the total number of 0.5cm*0.5cm*0.5cm cubes needed.

So, we have: $$\frac{4*3*3}{0.5*0.5*0.5}$$, converting all of the 05's to a fraction, we have/get: $$\frac{4*3*3}{\frac{1}{2}*\frac{1}{2}*\frac{1}{2}}=\frac{36}{\frac{1}{8}}=36*8=\boxed{288}$$ cubes.  Jun 9, 2018
