There are infinite solutions to this......here's one.....

-30 +( -10 ) + ( - 2 ) +  20

The biggest and smallest have a difference of 50 ....  and the sum = -40 + 18 = -22

 

{I'm not sure this interpretation is correct......you may have meant something else ??? }
