What are the outputs for sine, cosine, and tangent?

Both sin and cos range between 1 and -1. They start at different values.

The tangent ranges from zero to infinity. For all of the functions, you can get a good idea by rotating a radius (hypotenuse) of 1 counterclockwise around the origin (x and y axes).
