what do a and b mean in y= ax2 + bx + c?

a, b, c means the coefficient of x2, x1, and x0 respectively.

Example: In \(x^2 - x + 1\) , a = 1, b = -1, c = 1.

In \(7x^2 - 22x + 15\), a = 7, b = -22, c = 15.
