What does the term 'dearer' mean?

"A Choc frog is 11 cents dearer than a green frog"

Does anyone know what the word "dearer" means?

I'm using an Austrailian Math Curriculum, I guess that might help you guys figure it out.

I believe it means 'worth more'

a choc frog is worth 11 cents more than a green frog.

more expensive is closer to the mark

A choc frog is 11 cents dearer than a green frog --> A choc frog costs 11 cents more than a green frog
