What effect does replacing x with x + 2 have on the graph for the function f(x) ?

f(x)  =  l x - 3 l  + 2

f(x + 2)  =   l (x + 2) -3 l + 2  =  l x - 1 l + 2

 

This shifts the graph 2 units to the left
